Filming in a Remote Forest

This film tells the story of a mother and child fleeing through a forest. We needed a dense, quiet forest to capture the scene, so we traveled to the most remote areas around Seattle.

To film in the forest, we transported all of our equipment deep into the woods.

A sample of the elephant placed within a 2-second frame.

To capture the shot where the elephant (VFX) will be placed in the film, we used two long pipes with tape at the top as a frame guide, ensuring we had the exact dimensions for the shot.

Inspired by the Story "Whispers of Loss"

Eric Bakhshi's short film Whispers of Loss is inspired by the true story of his friend John, who tragically lost his premature daughter after just two hours. This was their second child lost, and Eric wrote the film to honor their grief and offer comfort to other parents facing similar heartache. The story highlights the deep pain of loss and the fragile hope that often remains afterward.
